Wow, there's not really very much I can say about how awesome this festival was. From Reverend Horton Heat to the Specials. There was not a dull moment during the entire day. When there were no bands that we particularly wanted to see there was a vert ramp with rollerblading, and skateboarding. They also had a Motocross ramp set up. How can you describe the Reverend Horton Heat. One of the funniest performances I have seen in a long time. Energetic boot stomping psychobilly at it's finest. The reverend even deemed it necessary to speak out on subjects very dear to him, heh heh yeah right. He gave a nice patented sermon right in the middle of their set. It lasted almost 5 minutes and was absolutely hilarious.

Check out Chi's (Bass) dreads flying everywhere!!

The Deftones were bar none the most intense band at the festival. The crowd moved harder, faster, and bounced in a display of rhythmic aggression unparalleled by any of the other bands that played that day. Their set-list started with an explosive rendition of My Own Summer (Shove It), then they followed up with various songs from both albums. The main highlight for me was in the form of seven words. The pause before the rhythym break was about 25 seconds, and was used in an intensity defying display of aggressive suspense. Squeal like a pig...... Sadly they didn't play engine no. 9 which was the song I was most looking forward to.

Chino's vocals weren't quite as accurate as they usually are but then again I'm almost positive that he was drunk. Chino also managed to jump into the crowd.

For a few further notes regarding warped tour. This is where I discovered Hed(pe). An awesome hardcore band. The show was absolutely amazing. I have a few more grainy pics that I may put up but not yet.
