As an introductory note this is where I will store all of my original works. I will also probably include some of the works of my friends later on. This page is an embarrassment to me. The short stories contained herein are a horrid. The only reason any of these were created was because I was way too bored at work. Actually the poetry I don't mind and the contributions by my friends and family (namely my little brother) are hilarious. Anyway, I'll also be starting a rant section where I will blow off steam. Usually this reflect something that takes place in a newsgroup then will filter over to here.
Signs: I think this is my best yet I wrote it recently, I need some more inspiration though, my imagination only travels to a certain romantic point without a little boost. Half Awake: This and the following one are from my High School years. Sort of dreamy and thoughtful. Softly Parted: This ones just from my hopeless romantic side (actually I think all of the poetry is) take a gander if you're the sappy sort. However: A short poem portraying locked away feelings I haven't come to terms with. Just trying to find a connection here. I'll Fly: This poem entails alot of what I felt like growing up. The mistakes, I made and everything else. Don't forget I'll be leaving for a mission in a little bit. That also comes into play in the poem. Just Say It: This reflects my inability to open up to anyone. I don't express emotion alot even though I know I should. Essentially I don't have anything outside to focus my emotion on, so it stays with me.
Listen: This is about the wall I built up around myself, it's focus is the people or things that have bothered to try to draw out my emotions.
Farewell talk: the talk I gave in sacrament meeting just before I left for my mission. I'm gone now :-) School of the Artisan: the parable contained within my farewell talk. Darwin?: Short essay reflecting my thoughts on natural selection and the origin of man. It's actually pretty funny because at the time I had been reading the sci.physics newsgroup.
Pretense: Rant about the decline of society.
Bando: This is a short story by my younger brother, Michael, who is currently in the 4th grade. It's a rather eclectic story......and it's downright hilarious. |
